Alright, the first book I finished this year was a bit of a cheat because I started it last year. I feel, however, that I need a running start on this sucker.
"Dr. Bloodmoney, or How We Got Along After The Bomb" (1965) is one of the best Philip K. Dick novels I have read. In a post-nuclear world he brings together a great cast of characters: Hoppy Harrington, a deformed mutant with telekinetic powers; Walt Dangerfield, a selfless disc jockey stranded in a satellite circling the globe and many others.
An excellent story to add to the post-apocalyptic book list I'm compiling with a friend. More to follow in a future post.
