Meg Greenfield was the Editorial Page Editor at the Washington Post for many years. This book, Washington, is her posthumously published expose on the politcal/governmental animal as she saw it. The reason I picked up this book was to get an idea of what a DC insider is and does in this town. Well, she spares no one in this account: pols, reporters, wives, syncophants. She basically describes how the town has gone from one where everyone had a private life that was left alone to one where enything and everythin is fair game.
