08.27 The Green Wound Contract by Philip Atlee
The Green Wound Contract (1963) by Philip Atlee
Pbk, Gold Medal 206 p.
Many series of tough guy agents were written in the 60's and 70's. James Philip Atlee wrote 22 books about the CIA super agent, Joe Gall, with all the titles having "Contract" in the title. I was put on to these once again through a review over at Vintage Hardboiled Reads. Additionally, Olman posted a review of the title The Canadian Bomber Contract over on his 50 books blog.
I managed to pick up a few in the series and thought I would give the first one a shot: The Green Wound Contract.
It's actually been a while since I read the book (I am way behind on the reviews) so I can't give an in depth synopsis. I do remember that the plot was fairly convoluted

The cover on this one looks great too. Despite your spartan review I am going to keep my eye out for this and put in on the shelf. I enjoyed the Canadian Bomber Contract.
