Oscar had a midrange jumper

oscar There was an article in this weekends NYT magazine which once again lays out a litany of complaints against the modern NBA game. Much of his thesis has been seen before - no one has a midrange jumper, three point lines suck, everyone just isolates and kicks it out.

All in all, its a fairly good piece and I agree with a lot of what he has to say. Unfortunately, his solutions (remove the 3 point shot and ban the dunk) are unlikely to be implemented by David "Lets-Put-A-Team-In Mongolia" Stern. If the Sonics and the Suns continue to do well this year we may see more of a resurgence in the uptempo, fundamentals game.

I think that they should fire David Stern. That would be my solution.
